IEI Treasurer Job Description
- Manage the budgets of IEI and maintain appropriate financial records in compliance with state and federal laws
- Ensure that all accounts payable are closed in a timely manner
- Prepare an annual budget with the input of the Chairstream and present to full leadership team for approval
- Prepare annual financial reports to IEI members including a financial report at the Illinois State Meeting (NAFSA Regional Conference) and the IEI Annual Conference
- Consult with Conference Coordinators to prepare IEI Annual Conference budget
- Advertise, review, and distribute grants throughout the year including NAFSA Advocacy Day, NAFSA National Conference, NAFSA Regional Conference, and IEI Annual Conference

Qualifications:
- Live or work in the state of Illinois
- Experience in the field of international education, specifically in relation to the position applying for
- Demonstrated commitment to international education and exchange programs
- Demonstrated commitment to the concept of professional development through participation in conferences and workshops
- Ability to foster communication with the team and within the state
- Demonstrated ability to complete projects thoroughly and timely
- Demonstrated ability to be a team player

Meeting Requirements:
- Weekly or bi-weekly conference calls with the IEI Leadership Team
- Annual IEI Conference
- State meeting at the regional conference (when possible)
