General Position Requirements
Qualifications:
  • ​Live or work in the state of Illinois
  • Experience in the field of international education, specifically in relation to the position applying for
  • Demonstrated commitment to international education and exchange programs
  • Demonstrated commitment to the concept of professional development through participation in conferences and workshops
  • Ability to foster communication with the team and within the state
  • Demonstrated ability to complete projects thoroughly and timely
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player
Maximum Term Length: 2 years*
*If the member would like to continue in this position, please consult with the IEI Leadership Team.
Meeting Requirements:
  • Weekly or bi-weekly conference calls with the IEI Leadership Team
  • Annual IEI Conference
  • State meeting at the regional conference (when possible)

In the past, interns have assisted with a wide array of projects including event planning for the annual IEI conference, supporting initiatives related to specific knowledge communities, and creating and implementing research projects on behalf of our constituents. If you have questions, or would like to pitch a specific project, please do not hesitate to reach out.
